I COULD USE A DRINK
Sound Designer
I Could Use A Drink was a concept album by Drew Gasparini that featured unconnected and unused songs from unpublished musicals. Adapted for the stage by the SDSU Musical Theatre Club, the story follows nine friends/lovers and their sacrifices to stay together through thick and thin, past and present.
With a show centered on nostalgia, Clara drew inspiration from the way deep memories can be triggered by smell. For example, the crackling sound of a radio might conjure the atmosphere of a 1920s jazz bar, while the electric buzz of fluorescent lights could recall memories of schools and hospitals.
